Classes
Iyengar Yoga emphasizes careful attention to alignment of each posture and teaches one a careful and disciplined approach to the poses and the breath. The poses are skillfully adapted for all conditions of body. Iyengar yoga, is therefore, a universal approach to learning yoga. Iyengar yoga focuses one's learning by using demonstrations, anatomical inquiry and props such as blocks, straps and blankets.
Level 1 classes assume little or no prior yoga experience.
Level 2 classes are intended for students with 6 months to 2 years of yoga practice. Inversions and unsupported backbends are introduced and developed.
Level 3 classes are intended for students with 2 or more years of yoga practice. The class includes inversions that are held for extended periods of time as well as deep, unsupported backbends.
Costs
- Single drop-in class: $18.00
- 5 class drop-in card: $80.00
- 8 class series: $90 for 1 1/2 hours, $96 for 1 hour, 45 minutes, and $108 for 2-hour classes.
